Job Opportunity

Freedom House office is looking to hire a Finance Officer for one of its Programs in Egypt.

The Finance Officer will be responsible for reviewing all financial reports submitted by Freedom House partners, preparing monthly budgets, ensure compliance with USAID requirements and regulations; including travel procedures, timekeeping procedures, procurement procedures and expense tracking. The candidate will also be required to document accounting procedures, including: accounting records, internal controls, budget control and allowable costs. Document policies and procedures for the following: maintain copies of grant application, grant amendments, budget changes, payment requests, progress reports, financial reports, contracts under the grant, cost share agreements.

The appropriate candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and at least a minimum of five years work experience with USAID funded projects and knowledge of US government-funding sources and procedures. He/She are required to read, write, and speak English at a high proficiency level.

Deadline for receiving applications is Thursday, February 3, 2011 by close of business. Interested candidates must submit a cover letter, resume, three reference letters and salary history and requirements. If any candidate does not have all required information, he or she will not be considered. Only candidates who have been short-listed will be notified for an interview. No phone calls, please.
